He established the Indian National Army (INA) and with Japanese help was able to free a portion of Indian territory in Manipur from the British, but was eventually defeated by the British due to Japanese abandonment.

Mangal Pandey was an Indian soldier in the East India Company’s army and The first freedom fighter of India. He was the head of the Sepoy Mutiny which led to the Revolt of 1857. He played an important role in creating unrest in Barrackpore. Due to which he was hanged by the British in 1857.

10. Sukhdev

Sukhdev was an Indian revolutionary who fought along with his best friends Bhagat Singh and Rajguru to make India independent from the British Raj. Unfortunately, at the age of 24, he was captured and hanged along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru on March 23, 1931.
